April 2025 Bulimba Bulldogs Update

All the hard work of the pre-season has been done and our juniors are raring to go for their Round 1 games starting on 27th April. It's been pretty wet this last month, but our juniors have rolled up the sleeves, got a little wet and muddy and kept soldiering on. A reminder to all parents - if training is cancelled, your coach or team manager will generally advise by 3pm (on your team WhatsApp group). If you haven't heard from us, it means that training is on!!
Key Dates
Easter/School holidays break - no training again until Thursday 24 April (Under 10's will go back on Tuesday 22 April)
Round 1 - season kicks off on Sunday 27th April (times and locations still TBC, check MyLeague app or with your team manager)
Under 7 Gala Day 1 - 10/11 May - Date/time/location TBC
Under 7 Gala Day 2 - 19/20 July - Date/time/location TBC
There will be no other gala days this year for the other age groups
Players still needed
We have enough players to field our junior teams from Under 6's to Under 10's but we are still looking for more players in all our teams to help bolster our numbers. We really need our Bulldogs family to help here, if you know of someone that may be interested in trying out rugby league please send them our way. The first training session is a free 'come and try' with no obligation to sign up. For more information visit here or contact us.
Volunteers
This club runs off volunteers, and we need more to keep our little club ticking for 2025. As we head into our first games, we are particularly short of League accredited first aid officers / sports trainers. Without this role filled we cannot run our home games. Please get in touch with us urgently if you can help with this role or any other roles.
On the topic of volunteers we wanted to give a big shout out to all our volunteers that have helped us at our recent Bunnings BBQ and Club Training BBQ.
Mother's Day Raffle
Watch this space in the very near future for details of our 2025 Mother's Day Raffle. We've gathered up a range of excellent prizes to spoil mum, and we will shortly be opening our online link to the raffle.

Merchandise Update
Our team apparel and merchandise is enroute and will be available after the school holidays for pick up. We still have a limited amount of hats left for purchase and these are available for pick up now. If you would like to purchase a hat please visit our shop.
